90 POINTS: James Molesworth, Wine Spectator's Advance
"Sweetly fruited and fragrant, the wine shows Black Doris plum, toasted spice, almond and subtle game notes on the nose, followed by a beautifully supple palate delivering ripe fruit intensity together with silky texture and spicy nuances. Smooth and plump with elegant complexity."

"Fresh and inviting, with more fruit and depth than many of it's peers. Offers a plum and cherry puree profile, laced with floral and red tea accents on the finish. Drink now through 2022. 77,000 cases made, 15,000 cases imported."

The cuvée “Saint-Esprit” comes from a small valley which nestles in the northern part of the Ardèche. The vineyards are planted on granite, south-facing slopes near the villages of Saint-Julien and-Saint-Alban. Syrah (majority) and Grenache (approximately 10%).
Its deep colour has a dark, plum-like hue. The nose is classically Syrah, with berry fruit, violet, liquorice, and spicies. It has a full, rounded palate with delicate tannins. “Saint-Esprit” is a unique wine in the “Côtes-du-Rhône” appellation.
