Hand harvested in April 2016, the fruit was whole bunch pressed and after inoculation with selected wine yeast underwent fermentation in a stainless steel tank. The fermentation was stopped to retain 20g/L residual sugar.
Pale straw with clear hues our Duffers Creek Riesling provides fragrant aromas of apricot, lemon and lime with hints of melon and mandarin. Sweet citrus flavours on the palate such as tangerine and mandarin along with lemon zest. The wine achieves an excellent balance between fruit sweetness and zingy acidity. A softer. more mellow wine than our dry Riesling it provides an interesting contrast in styles.
