Tavel is an appellation in the southern Rhone valley, unique for specialising solely in rose wines. A blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Clairette and Syrah from 50 year old vines, which have a long maceration period of 24-36 hours. This gives the wine a deep salmon pink colour with an intense bouquet of soft red fruit aromas on the nose. The palate is round, full and ripe with notes of raspberries, redcurrants and cherries, the structure balanced by a fresh acidity.
